Is Spencer Pratt a Purple Belt?!?

So I’m not sure what rank he is but apparently he and Heidi (Ninja Slipper perhaps?) took some lessons at Rickson’s academy in California. Here’s where I found the story.

Yeah he’s a purple belt, but i heard that he doesnt live up to his rank. A friend of mine who took a class at rickson’s place has a video from his phone, of spencer getting tapped by blue belts. Plus he doesnt even go to the classes. He does privates and obtained his belts by the number of private$$$ he does. So yeah he aint got skills

there are more pics of this on other sites, first of all he doesn’t even know how to tie his belt
and secondly it’s not a Brazilian JJ belt either because it doesn’t have
a black stripe on one of the ends, See the brown belt’s black stripe. I call bullshit.

not all BJJ belts have the black bar cuz there are still places where they don’t do the 4 stripe promotion…but i still call bullshit on this guy being a purple belt

quit the hating..if hes a purple belt you should have nothing but respect..if its privates or classes just means he has the love for the art..not everyone trains to be a ufc fighter so quit the hating and maybe one day you can loose the white belt and get at leat a blue…

If you take private classes then brag about you belt than your a fake. The reason he takes private classes is so he don’t have to spar with the other students and get tapped. If your a purple and can’t handle blues, you need to demote youself. Not hating, just common sense coming from someone whom trains BJJ.

I have been a avid follower of BJJ. I think it is bad press for such an excellent academy. i have the utmost respect for people who train under kron or rickson or kevin. This just shows desperation of press and bad press for this academy. I have worked with Spencer, and he is bad news. i think if he is true to BJJ and being a fighter, than he shouldn’t be starting fights and putting himself in situations to be the fighting starter. he is a man who looks to fight, and i think thats not what learning this art of fighting is about.
i just hope spencer pratt respects the craft of BJJ and puts good press behind being a good person who is taught at a great academy. be a proud face for your academy, not a shameful one.

please people it takes about on average 7 to 8 years to get a real BJJ purple belt about 9 to 11 usally 10+ to get black, He might have a purple belt buy some bogus BJJ trainer be its not deserved at all !!! You will find that shit alot with all the BJJ Mick DOJO’s today !!!!

Spencer Pratt more than proved himself as real by backing up the sh he talked.
Most people who hate on him would probably see their own jealousy if they just stopped and looked. Yeah he’s a rich kid from Hollywood, big deal. He made some mistakes and tried to keep as much pride intact as possible while still winning the princess and that’s not easily done.
Dude works out with boxing, and apparently rolls too. More power to him. He played ‘The Hills’ like a pro, people really just don’t know.

From what I hear Spencer is Now a brown belt under Kevin Casey, this info came from my girlfriend who is good friends with Heidi. Kevin Casey is Spencer master and a Black belt he got it from himself. Kevin also teaches at Rickson Gracie Academy where he is the head instructor. At least this is what I’m told and many people have heard the same thing.

You guys really made a twitter site about this??? Who cares?? Spencer got his purple belt years ago doing privates with non rickson affiliates….Does he deserve a purple?? Thats a whole argument on its own…….how many wack purple belts are there??? Hundereds. Are we gonna make one big website for shit talkers that lists every dude who you think sucks?? Or is this just some fascination with a psuedo-celebrity? Cmon. Now a days belts get handed out like holloween candy.
